## Example 1 — reading recognition

- Language: Spanish
- Skill: Reading recognition
- Front: In "La cuenta, por favor," what does "la cuenta" refer to?
- Back: The bill/check at a restaurant.
- Accepted answers: bill; check; restaurant bill.
- Failed attempt: A bank account; no answer before reveal.

## Example 2 — written production

- Language: Spanish
- Skill: Written production
- Front: At a restaurant, complete "La ___, por favor" to request the bill.
- Back: cuenta.
- Accepted answers: cuenta.
- Failed attempt: A different noun, or looking at the back before attempting.

## Example 3 — noun and gender

- Front: Write the Spanish singular noun with definite article for a restaurant bill.

- Failed attempt: Missing article or a different article. The prompt explicitly tests both.

## Example 4 — prepare a listening card

Review due cards first. Pause new cards when due work fills your available time. After a failure, check the correct answer and repair the prompt if needed. These are practical starting suggestions, not a validated treatment or guaranteed retention schedule.
